Random Writings - Thankful Thursday

  • Mama's still sick but she's doing ok.  Leedie has been visiting with her for a few days so I know that's giving her some happiness.  I firmly believe a happy patient is a healthier patient.
  • Roxy's also doing good too.  In fact, I went home Monday afternoon and it was like nothing had ever been wrong with her.
  • UK has a new head coach, FSU's defensive coordinator.  I was excited to link two schools I love but then rumors started that Stoops is trying to take a lot of the other staff.  I like Seminoles football way better than Wildcat football so I don't appreciate this.  I won't be much of a Stoops Troops if he keeps this up.
  • Today is my Friday and for that I am SO thankful.

Puppy Problems

This morning I woke up to the sounds of Roxy throwing up.  After getting out of bed, cleaning it up, wiping down her face, and washing my hands I went back to bed.  When I got out of bed again to get ready for work I found an accident (which is not like my pup) and another pile of vomit.  It was a gross and sad morning for me.  I hope she's ok.  I'm sure she will be but considering she's like my baby girl I'm sad and slightly worried for her.

I can't wait to get home to her and see what I find.  Hopefully it will be all pink tongue and wiggly butt.

Random Writings - Vol. 8

  • My grandmother has been in the ICU for over two weeks. She's not doing well and I feel so badly for her. I went this past weekend with Mr. Woo and was able to take care of her for a bit during a few of the visiting hours.  Problem is because of her Alzheimer's I'm not sure she'll remember we came and I worry she'll think we don't care enough to visit.  :(
  • I was surprised to see Dennis, Katlin and my amazing niece this weekend too.  Apparently it was our family's Thanksgiving observed since we're with our spouses' sides of the family for the real holiday.  It was a wonderful surprise - whether it was supposed to be a surprise or not.
  • With Mama in the hospital I'm torn as to what to do for Thanksgiving.  I'm supposed to be spending it with my MIL in the kitchen which I was completely looking forward to but I don't know if I should go home or not.  Mom and Mr. Woo say no but I feel uneasy.  I guess I'll play it by ear and see how Mama's doing closer to when I have to make a final decision.
  • I finished the last Fifty Shades book.  I was disappointed by the ending.
  • I need to figure out what to make for Thanksgiving to bring to dinner with the in-laws if I do go.  Definitely a dessert.  But what, I don't know.  Any ideas?

A Grey Distraction

I'm halfway through Fifty Shade Freed.  Between this triology and cooking/baking and Christmas shopping and spending time with friends I've been a bit distracted from this blog.  I will do better.  Right after I finish this book..

P.S. To be fair I didn't know it was a triology when I started the first book.

Intrigued by Grey

Fantastic four-day weekend!  I'll update later on all later.

And it's election day!  I am excited at the idea of no more election ads and negative campaigns.

Anyway, just writing to say I just finished Fifty Shades of Grey and while I think it was a poorly written book by the end I wish I had the second book in the series to find out what happens next.  I hate heartbreak.

I have Fifty Shades Darker on request from the library since they are all checked out but it's just a means to an end to read the final book and finish the series.

Curiosity usually kills this cat.

Hope you voted!
