Birthday Pup!

My puppy girl is 8!!!

As silly as it may be, I'm sad! I remember when she was 5 weeks old!

Bottom line is, I love her, I am blessed she is my pup, and she will always be my baby girl.

Happy birthday, Roxy! I love you!!

Well Rounded

Today was such a well rounded day!  I feel so accomplished!  And it feels great!

I have worked a good nine hour day at the office, full of productivity, a visit to Starbucks and some weekend small talk with co-workers.  Talked to my mom and one of my best friends.  Came home and prepared a home cooked meal of arroz con pollo -- my first time ever trying to make it by myself (It came out ok.  A little bland.)  I relaxed a bit on the tv and computer.  Cuddled with my pup.  Danced with her around the house -- I wish I knew what she was thinking as we were dancing.  And did a super thorough cleaning of the kitchen in preparation for my mom and niece's visit in a couple of days while listening to John Mayer croon on the guitar.

Now I'm off to shower and get feedback from hubby on his home cooked meal I had ready for him when he came home from work.

Domestic bliss.

Seven

Today my little pup is seven years old!  I can't believe it!  To think she's been sidekick and shadow for just about seven years (I got her when she was five weeks old) is unbelievable.  I know she's a puppy dog but I promise I love her like she's my child.  She is so sweet and polite and silly and gross and so much more all wrapped up in a 23 pound ball of fur.

Can you spot the birthday girl?

Random Writings - Thankful Thursday

  • Mama's still sick but she's doing ok.  Leedie has been visiting with her for a few days so I know that's giving her some happiness.  I firmly believe a happy patient is a healthier patient.
  • Roxy's also doing good too.  In fact, I went home Monday afternoon and it was like nothing had ever been wrong with her.
  • UK has a new head coach, FSU's defensive coordinator.  I was excited to link two schools I love but then rumors started that Stoops is trying to take a lot of the other staff.  I like Seminoles football way better than Wildcat football so I don't appreciate this.  I won't be much of a Stoops Troops if he keeps this up.
  • Today is my Friday and for that I am SO thankful.

Puppy Problems

This morning I woke up to the sounds of Roxy throwing up.  After getting out of bed, cleaning it up, wiping down her face, and washing my hands I went back to bed.  When I got out of bed again to get ready for work I found an accident (which is not like my pup) and another pile of vomit.  It was a gross and sad morning for me.  I hope she's ok.  I'm sure she will be but considering she's like my baby girl I'm sad and slightly worried for her.

I can't wait to get home to her and see what I find.  Hopefully it will be all pink tongue and wiggly butt.
